Coming soon…

It feels very strange to be writing this but I will now be on maternity leave. It’s very exciting and nerve wracking to be preparing for my next role in life as a Mami but I can’t wait to photograph my own little one in the new year 🙂 All being well, I will return in the Spring on a part-time basis but whilst I’m off I will have an admin day once a week to respond to all messages.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish my friends, family and clients a very Merry Christmas and I look forward to seeing you all again in 2017 xxx

    Hello,
Just enquiring about new born shoots?
    How much?
And when do you come back from maternity leave as my boyfriends sister is due on the 7th of march, so I’m enquiring as we are thinking of a gift.

    Thank youReplyCancel

My second newborn of the week and my FINAL shoot of 2016 was with another little beauty when twelve days new Nel brought her lovely Mami along for her very first photo shoot. These two were probably the most laid back family I’ve met in a while and the whole shoot was a very easy one! Which is good as this was not only my last shoot of the year but also my last shoot before I start maternity leave 🙂 Nel woke when she was undressed and remained awake for a good hour but it gave me and her mam a chance for a good old chinwag! And when Nel did eventually drop off, we managed to get her shoot done in speedy fashion 🙂

I had a real treat today as I not only kicked off my week with a brand new baby girl but it also gave me the opportunity to catch up with one of my very first and most favourite families 🙂 Six days new Emmie brought her lovely parents along for her first photo shoot and I was over the moon to see them. I haven’t caught up with this gorgeous family for a while now but they are more than familiar with my studio by now! This is because Emmie’s older brother Finley was one of my very first newborns and I have photographed him several times over the last four years 🙂 I have grown to love this family as friends so it was a real pleasure to photograph their newest addition today. She made me work for my money mind you but every second with them was enjoyable so I really didn’t care! I thoroughly enjoyed my first shoot of the week 🙂

My weekend kicked off with another very chilled out little boy when eleven days new Cameron brought his parents along for his first photo shoot. Myself and Cameron’s mam have been in discussion for what feels like ages about today’s shoot so it was lovely to welcome him to the studio finally. BUT this young man REALLY didn’t want to play ball as far as sleeping was concerned! Despite several feeds, lots of cwtches and even a spin in the car, Cameron was still awake FOUR hours later!!! So his parents gave up trying to get him to sleep and simply asked for him to be photographed awake. We were joined at the end of the shoot by Cameron’s two older sisters, Lacey and Kaela who I haven’t seen since they came for a Halloween mini session with me last year. Both girls were full of beans today and loved dressing up in their pretty dresses for photos with their new baby brother 🙂 And this photographer is now off for a very well deserved cup of coffee!

A very laid back smasher came to see me this afternoon when Theo brought his parents and big sister Brooke along for his cake smash. When he first arrived, he was quite sleepy after having a snooze in the car but he soon came round. He was a very chilled out little boy though and simply sat on set with a serious expression whilst I snapped away 😀 When we brought out his cake, Theo got stuck in straight away and his face was completely smeared in buttercream – so much so all we could see was a pair of eyes!!! Theo, who will be one next week, got quite upset at this point but after some water and a spell with his dummy, he got back into the cake eating, particularly when he discovered the sponge part 🙂 What a brilliant client to end my cake smashes of 2016 with!  **cake courtesy of Cakes By Helzbach**
