Coming soon…

A very lively family visited the studio this afternoon when one year old Poppy brought her parents and big brother Thomas for her birthday shoot. Four year old Thomas had me in stitches it’s fair to say with his energy and enthusiasm 😀 His little sister however, was more inclined to have cwtches with her beloved dad rather than have photos or remain on the set at all! As she’s already walking Poppy didn’t want to sit still at all but her brother lapped up the attention from the camera….until we wanted to do the family shot 😉 When the cake was brought out Poppy did tuck in to it a little bit but sadly a projectile vomiting incident (thanks to a large crisp she swallowed the wrong way!) put paid to her interest in it rather quickly! Thomas however was happy to take over the cake playing though 🙂 **cake courtesy of Cakes By Helzbach**

I had two little clients for the price of one in the studio this afternoon when sisters Abigail and Emily brought their parents along for their first joint photo shoot. Two year old Abigail was a very quiet toddler which is RARE! But she cooperated like a professional for her photos – in fact she really didn’t want to leave when it was over 😀 Her baby sister, eight month old Emily, simply took the whole thing in her stride and offered us the cutest smiles, especially when looking at her beloved Mam! Both girls were really sweet to be honest and considering their young age, they did really well with the camera today 🙂

It was my second nephew’s turn to smash up a cake this afternoon but it didn’t turn out how we’d expected….Eleven month old Oscar brought his lovely mam and big brother Alfie along for his birthday shoot (a month early as his baby cousin is due around his first birthday!) and it was a BIG challenge to get him to stay still long enough to be photographed! Oscar is a VERY busy baby who is into everything now and is most happiest when he’s crawling 🙂 We did manage to get some photos of him before he made a break for it though! And as he LOVES his food, we had very high hopes for the cake smash BUT he was not at all impressed by it! In fact, he couldn’t climb up me quick enough as he was nervous of the cake! His mam managed to persuade him to eat the sponge as he really didn’t like the buttercream, so at least we got some smashing shots 😀 What a turn up for the books! **cake courtesy of Cakes By Helzbach**

I had the opportunity to catch up with one of my first newborns of 2016 this morning when eleven month old Gruffydd returned with his mam for a Christmas shoot. Considering he was only a tiny little guy when I last saw him, it was a treat to see how much he’s changed today. Gruff is now a very busy little boy who wasn’t particularly interested in having his photos taken; he was more inclined to throw all the Christmas baubles about and play with my wheelchair 😀 We managed to get him to sit still for some shots though thankfully but he refused to even entertain the possibility of wearing his reindeer antlers!

I was joined in the lovely and snuggly studio this morning by a wonderful family when eight days new Gracie brought her parents, Nan and big brother Gabriel along for her first photo shoot. And she definitely made me work for my money! Her mam uttered the dreaded words “oh she sleeps all day” when they first arrived so I had a feeling we were jinxed! And I was right 😉 Because as soon as she taken out of her car seat for a feed Gracie woke up and she point blank refused to sleep for the next two hours! I last saw this family last year when Gracie’s brother came for his cake smash, so it was lovely to catch up with them again. Twenty two month old Gabriel is finding it difficult to adapt to being a big brother though bless him, so he was quite an emotional little boy today who only wanted his mam 🙁 We managed to get the shots done though – eventually! Thank goodness!
